Choosing Fabric for Boat Covers
Boat-cover material must be selected for the specific craft, storage conditions, exposure and cover design. Width, coating, abrasion resistance, fastening points, ventilation and seam construction all affect finished performance.
Before ordering
- Measure the full cover pattern and include allowances for seams and reinforcement.
- Confirm the fabric’s current width, composition and coating specification.
- Plan reinforcement at high-load and abrasion points.
- Do not rely on a general water-resistant description for safety-critical or permanent marine use.
