How to select sports fabric
Start with the garment
Identify the sport, garment pattern, contact level, fit and areas needing stretch, airflow or added durability.
Check the construction
Compare knit structure, composition, GSM, width, stretch, recovery, opacity, handle and care.
Confirm decoration
Tell us whether the fabric will be sublimated, transferred, screen printed or embroidered. Test the exact process before production.
Plan the order
Allow for samples, colour approval, pattern layout, shrinkage, cutting waste and consistency across a team order.

Frequently asked questions
Which fabric is best for sportswear?
The correct choice depends on the sport, garment, movement, stretch, opacity, handle, care and decoration method. Compare the individual product specifications and test before bulk production.
Do you supply fabric for rugby, soccer and cricket kits?
The range includes rugby jersey, sports knit, Birdseye, sports sheen, cricket trouser and related performance fabrics. Suitability depends on the exact garment and production requirement.
Can I use these fabrics for sublimation printing?
Only use a fabric for sublimation after confirming the exact product and testing the complete print process. A sportswear or polyester description alone is not proof of print compatibility.
Need fabric for a teamwear production run?
Sublime Designs supplies fabric. Send the sport, garment, colour, estimated metres and intended printing or branding method for help comparing suitable products.
